Star Fire Thrill Rides

The ride consists of a central column anchored to a ground-level base, along which a moving core ascends and descends to lift the arms supporting the vehicles. The column itself can rotate in place, while each arm is capable of tilting up to 90 degrees from its rest position. At the tip of every arm, six radial beams hold the vehicles, each accommodating up to 3 passengers for a total capacity of 36 seats. The key advantage lies in the ride’s blend of swift yet smooth rotations coupled with exhilarating G-forces, punctuated by breathtaking panoramic views when passengers are held briefly at a height of 40 meters as the other gondola is maneuvered.

The Star Fire ride traces its origins back to the early tower-based swing attractions that began capturing the public’s imagination in the mid-20th century. Over the decades, designers and engineers refined its core mechanics, gradually increasing height, improving rotational dynamics, and enhancing safety through sophisticated control systems. This evolution transformed a simple spinning concept into an iconic, high-thrill attraction, winning international acclaim in theme parks and traveling fairs worldwide. Preston & Barbieri has played a pivotal role in propelling the Star Fire to new heights. By leveraging advanced engineering techniques and top-grade materials, the company introduced innovative features aimed at maximizing reliability, capacity, and rider comfort. Today, the Star Fire stands as a testament to Preston & Barbieri’s enduring commitment to excellence, delighting guests on multiple continents and reaffirming its position as a groundbreaking, timeless addition to the global amusement industry.
