Jupiter Thrill Rides
The Jupiter ride features three inclined columns converging at the top, where a rotating arm is connected by two swinging bearings. On one side of this arm is a counterweight, while on the other side a circular gondola accommodates 24 seats, arranged in 12 sections of two seats each.
A DC motor propels the arm through a complete 360° rotation, reaching speeds that exceed gravitational pull during descent. At the same time, the gondola can rotate up to 12 rpm, producing accelerations of approximately 4.0 G. Riders sit facing inward with their feet on the gondola floor and are secured by an over-the-shoulder restraint system featuring double safety locks. The coordinated motion of the arm’s rotation, the gondola’s spinning and the upside-down loop combine to create a thrilling and dynamic ride experience.
