Deep Water is an interactive water ride developed by Preston & Barbieri as an evolution of the Interactive Eureka. While Eureka introduced a lever-controlled ascent and descent, Deep Water brings this concept into an aquatic environment, featuring six submarine-themed gondolas floating in a pool.
Each gondola is equipped with a laser sensor that, when activated by hand, allows passengers to rise up to 2 meters above the water level, creating a playful dive-and-surface effect. The ride is enhanced by customizable underwater scenery, illuminated portholes, and sound effects, offering a truly immersive experience.
At Dennlys Parc in France, a Mexican-themed variant of Deep Water was installed under the name Aéro Mexico, adapting the ride’s mechanics to an aviation-inspired design while maintaining the same interactive rising and lowering feature. With its compact footprint, interactive controls and engaging theme, Deep Water is designed to appeal to children and families, bringing innovation to water-based amusement rides.
As more parks recognize its potential, Deep Water is set to become a staple in interactive aquatic entertainment.
